Carbon Footprint Calculation Seal
Exclusivas Energéticas obtains the seal of the Ministry for Ecological Transition for Calculating the Carbon Footprint
The Ministry for Ecological Transition creates the carbon footprint registry, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects with a dual purpose.
On the one hand, it makes it easier for organizations to demonstrate their participation in the registry, and on the other hand, it allows them to reflect the level of effort undertaken by the organization in the fight against climate change. This registry distinguishes between organizations that calculate their carbon footprint and are on track to reduce their emissions, and those that are already reducing and/or offsetting them . The seal identifies three levels of participation for a given year: carbon footprint calculation, reduction, and/or offsetting.
Currently, our organization has the CALCULO seal for the years 2020 , 2021 and 2022 and the CALCULO/REDUCCO seal for the year 2023.
Furthermore, there is also the possibility of registering in the "carbon footprint compensation" section, through which emissions can be offset through carbon dioxide absorption projects that have been previously registered in the "CO2 absorption projects" section of the same registry, or, when this possibility is enabled, through other reductions of greenhouse gas emissions recognized by the COMPENSO Ministry.
Therefore, the seal indicates that:
- Participation in the carbon footprint sections (distinguishing whether it has only been calculated or has been calculated and reduced) and compensation (in which case the carbon footprint will have had to be previously calculated.
- The specific time period to which this participation corresponds.
